Greetings all,

Have you ever..

Been adventuring and wondered into a camp of mobs, swinging your weapon wildly, enjoying the taste of splattered blood upon your lips when.. out of no where, you're hit by a truck.. er, something huge?

Have you ever..

Been wondering through Conall's Valley, sent by one of the locals to fight some local villans, only to attempt to slay them .. yet put down before you know what hit you?

Fear not! Now, after you've read the list below, you won't make such silly mistakes. For after you read over the list and learn the proper identifiers for each creature in the world of Hyboria - you won't be so over zealous taking the time to examine the creatures BEFORE you charge in to the fray. (unless of course you're looking for a quick rest..)

Here it is: (pictures to come at a later date)

1. Normal - Minion (usually one or two hits) no special frame

2. Normal - Normal; this will be the normal "equal level" mob to a player. If it's level 35 to you player, then that's the level difficulty it should be. These do not have any additional graphics on their frame. Basically a square with a black (or white?) boarder - no horns.

3. Normal Mini-Boss; Will have a grey or red frame around their name with very small white horns around the frame. You should see a title on this mob indicating boss/mini-boss.

4. Normal Boss; Will have a red frame around their name with small white horns around the frame. You should see a title on this mob indicating it's rank.

5. Elite - Minion; Will hit much harder then a normal mob but has significantly less hit points then an elite of the same/simular type. These creatures can be "insta killed" with mage/rogue insta-minion slaying abilities (often boosting that classes dps with a buff - same for Normal-Minion).

6. Elite Normal; Will have a bright red frame with two LARGE horns on either side of the mobs health bars etc. These creatures will be significantly harder, and should not be attempted (unless you significantly out level the creature and it's grey) unless you have a group (three or more players). Attacking one of these while in their level range, if solo, will more than likely result in you taking a dirt nap.

7. Elite Boss; Will have a bright red frame with THREE LARGE red horns on either side of the mobs health bars etc. When you first target these creatures their name plates (health etc) will have a grey web over it most of the time hiding their bars. These creatures often require a full group and a dedicated healer or two to take down. These usually drop some nice loot though to make them worth the trouble.

8. RAID boss; Will have a bright red frame with THREE LARGE red horns on either side of the mobs health bars and two red skulls on either side of the name plate. If you're confronting one of these you likely know what you are doing and have a group ready to meet the challenge.

9. RAID Mob: Will have a silver frame with small horns.

I'm speculating on point 8, as I've never fought a RAID boss. However, judging from the skulls around King Conan, in his throne room, and the numerous screen shots I've seen of RAID encounters, I'm assuming (bad I know) that this is correct.

That should about cover it.
